Facial acupuncture is an excellent, natural alternative to botox and other kinds of invasive and unnatural beauty treatment. Facial acupuncture works by stimulating the production of collagen, enhancing elastin and promoting blood flow through the facial muscles.
Facial acupuncture helps to revitalise the skin and facia muscles, improve overall skin tone, even out the complexion, dissipate small wrinkles and tighten the skin where a good degree of elastin still remains.
The treatment involves the insertion of very high quality acupuncture needles under the surface of the skin. The treatment is relatively painless and also provides a calming affect of the client.
During the treatment I also firstly provide a short facial massage to help loosen up the facial muscles and promote blood flow. Starting with the facial massage also allows me to understand your facial structure and learn which areas need most attention.
Following the facial massage I then provide a body balancing treatment before the facial acupuncture procedure itself. The pre body balancing treatment helps to support the facial work and also helps to create a calming effect fore the client.
To gain the most benefit from facial acupuncture, clients are advised that a course of treatment is needed in most cases. We offer courses in blocks of four, six, eight or ten however, clients are also more than welcome to book one session initially to see how you like the treatment.
After the first session, besides feeling relaxed the client will also typically look like they have had a good refreshing sleep with an enhanced complexion. Over following sessions the effects of enhanced collagen and elastin will often become more noticeable as the treatment progresses.
Following any course of facial acupuncture, it is then advised that the client re-visit for top up sessions in order to maintain the work that has been performed.
